Nasdaq 100 Dividend Index

Description

This index tracks the companies within the Nasdaq 100 that have paid dividends for at least 5 years. It weights companies by the square root of their market capitalization. Dividend paying companies are historically less volatile and studies have shown that 71% of total market returns come from dividends and not capital appreciation. With these facts in mind, the goal of this index to be less volatile than the Nasdaq 100 index while giving investors greater long term return on investment.
